First Model for Next Generation Mobility

A new brand MTW has been launched for next generation mobility in 2022. The first model TW027 is designed exclusively for the Tesla Model 3 with a rim over 2×7 cross spoke mesh design. The development of TW027 was started due to the fact that there are only a few wheels that can be installed on Tesla, and TW027 was developed for users who want to casually enjoy customization while experiencing the appeal of EVs with Model 3. The basic principle of enjoying dress-up is to increase the inches, but increasing the inches increases the weight of the wheel and leads to a decrease in electric cost. Therefore, TW027 has adopted a rim-over-rim design that aims for a visual effect to make the 19-inch wheels look one size larger. We also focused on ride comfort, and through repeated testing of rim shapes, we developed a rim shape that enhances quietness and vibration control. While prioritizing wheel design and ride comfort may result in an increase in weight, the weight increase was minimized by reducing the stock rim width of the TW027 to 8.0J compared to the 8.5J of the Model 3. Also, while the rim width is smaller, the same size tires as the factory can be used, so you can enjoy dressing up your vehicle with confidence.
